One day you will get to it, but that day never comes. There is always something else catching your attention while you remain forgotten at the bottom of your priorities list.

Take Care of Your Health and Wellbeing
Truth is: the busier you are, the more critical it is to show up for yourself and make sure you are in a good place mentally, emotionally, and physically so you can perform at your best and be there for the people you love.
Putting yourself first is a necessity in order to thrive and be happy in life. Recognizing that it is a sign of maturity and not selfishness.
No one can run on empty for very long. Your health will suffer if you continue placing the needs of others before your own. You are responsible for your wellbeing.
Taking care of yourself to perform at an optimum level and be at the top of your game is essential for your overall health.
Above All, Choose You!
Above all else, choose you! You are not just a piece of the puzzle. Without you on the equation, there is no puzzle!
Like in the airplane, you must put your oxygen mask on first before assisting others. And why is that? Because if you run out of oxygen, you can’t save anyone else.
The same concept applies when you make yourself a priority. Don’t you need to breathe first to help others?

1. Say YES To Yourself
Always fill up your own cup first before pouring into others.
Say yes to yourself, because your wellbeing matters. Yes, you should work on your projects, have time to exercise and chase your goals.
Stop following somebody else’s agenda. Have a daily schedule that will take you closer to where you want to be and stick to it.
Give yourself permission to be who you are meant to be. Don’t downplay your needs and stop limiting yourself with what others might think of you. That is their problem, not yours.
Taking care of yourself is a demonstration of self-respect, respect for your life, your body, your family and friends.
Let your awesome self shine through, and everybody around you will benefit from your light.
2. Make It Non-negotiable
Don’t deviate from what is in your schedule because it’s not convenient for someone else. It is your schedule and should not be up for discussion.
It’s up to you to enforce YOUR rules. You are on the driver seat!
Get rid of distractions and concentrate on doing the tasks that will make a difference and move the needle .
Do the workout, invest on your side hustle, prioritize quality family time, sleep enough hours, limit online scrolling.
Reserve a slot just for fun stuff, maybe a hobby? And before bedtime, set aside an hour to wind down and disconnect.
3. Learn To Say NO
Stop doing anything that doesn’t align with your core values. You shouldn’t put in question your integrity and worthiness. If it doesn’t feel right, don’t do it!
Learn to say no and remain true to yourself, taking back your power and showing you are in control and won’t be manipulated.
Draw the line and set boundaries. People will respect you more for that.
4. Feed Your Soul
Nourish your soul and improve your mental and physical health. Spend 10 minutes daily in quietness, take a nice bath.
Don’t watch the news. Instead, listen to an inspirational podcast, read books or articles that make you feel good, spend some time alone, turn off your phone, and live on the present moment.
Easier said than done, stop entertaining people that are a constant source of negative energy. Do it for your own sake (isn’t this about making yourself a priority?). Don’t engage and shield yourself from their negativity.
5. Do More Of What You Love
Whatever it is, do more of what you love. Make yourself happy!
Take time off, travel more, bake, cook, have a girls’ night out, listen to music, dance like nobody’s watching, sing, watch that series, go hiking, get immersed in Nora Roberts’ novels, go to the movies. The list is endless.
Do at least one thing you love every single day. Make space for enjoyment and let it brighten your day.
6. Practice Mindfulness
Mindfulness is being aware of what is currently happening. It’s simply an assessment of where you stand, what you are doing, and where you are heading without judgment.
Stay present living in the here and the now. Set aside 5 to 10 minutes for this practice and incorporate mindfulness into your routine. It will help you recognize all the good already in your life.
Find a quiet place, in a seated position, focus on your breath. When your mind starts wandering, bring your attention back to the breath.
Acknowledge your thoughts and just let them go, with no filter.
In this exercise, breathing is what keeps you connected to the present moment. The more you practice it, the better you will get.
An increase in energy, happiness, and inner peace are some of the benefits of being mindful. You cannot be happy if you are living in the past or anxious for the future.
Live in the present, and you will wake up to a whole new world that you have been missing out on.

Love yourself first and make YOU the priority. Enjoy the person you are, say just positive things about yourself, list ten of your qualities, and remind your fabulous self frequently the rockstar you are!
Be proud without shame. You are investing time in you and know you are worth all the hard work.
You will become your best self setting your own standards to live by and teaching others how you expect to be treated.
